You know how we’re rather enamored with anything to do with Solid State Disk technology around here these days.  There are so many new, ground-breaking concepts coming to market lately, that we almost don’t know where or what to dial our radar on next.  One product that has definitely set off a few pings on our SSD-watch screens is OCZ’s upcoming Z-Drive PCI-Express-based SSD.   Early incarnations of the product looked a little, how shall we say, “proto-ish” but today the Z-Drive has re-appeared

NZXT just announced the budget friendly Lexa S gaming chassis. As with all of NZXTs cases, Lexa S is designed for enhanced airflow with capability for 5 fans including 120mm fans on the front, side, and exhaust with a 140 mm fan on top. NZXT includes the side, rear, top, and front fans along with a fan controller that controls dual intakes and exhausts independently and effectively optimizes your computers performance based on your preference for pure power or whisper quiet operation. The Lexa S will be available in September at an MSRP of $69.99.

HTC has just announced its upcoming Touch2 Windows Phone, not to be confused with the Touch Pro2 or Touch Diamond2.  The HTC Touch2 (aka HTC Mega) will debut running Windows Mobile 6.5 in early October. No word yet on country-by-country availability, though we expect to see this handset in the U.S. before the end of the year.

The press release spent much of its time extolling the virtues of Windows Mobile 6.5 rather than providing device specifications, but we know a good bit about the Touch2 already, and will keep you apprised as more details are made available.

Today Sony Ericsson announced its first Windows Mobile 6.5 Windows Phone, the XPERIA X2.  The X2 is the second Windows Mobile-powered smartphone from Sony Ericsson, and is expected to ship at the end of the year in “selected markets.”

The XPERIA X2a is actually of most interest in the U.S., as this is the version of the smartphone compatible with networks used in the States.  Features include a 3.2” 800×480 touchscreen, an 8.1MP camera, the Panels UI overlay, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The press release didn’t say anything about U.S. availability, which is sort of a bummer, but you can bet your Walkman that it’ll arrive here sooner or later.
