AMD created a small number of limited edition TWKR processors expressly for the extreme overclocking community in appreciation for their record performance feats with Dragon platform technology and AMD Phenom II processors. These processors are designed to reach the utmost performance barriers of the AMD Phenom II processor and operate beyond the specifications of typical production level processors. As speculated, its a high current chip that can take the extreme stresses of Liquid Nitrogen overclocking. Our testing of the TWKR procesor showed that we could reach ~6.6GHz on Liquid Nitrogen. It would be a shame if only the top overclockers and media would be able to use these, so we have teamed up with AMD to give away one of these overclocking monsters.

Albatron Technology has spent much of their time recently developing different products for IPC clients. During Computex Taipei 2009, Albatron unveiled a new product, Albatron K3780E, which combined with System Board and I/O Board. According to ALbatron their customers' demanded a board that has an adjustable I/O interface to where system integrators. The result of this demand is the Albatron K3780E mainboard, which can be used in their systems with more flexibilities.

Albatron K3780E is two-level design, System Board and I/O Board. The system board is for CPU and North and South Bridges; the I/O board is for I/O connectors. AMD ASB1 BGA processor is embedded on K3780E which supports single and dual core CPU. K3780E is adopted with AMD 780E North Bridge and built-in ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics engine to support advanced DirectX 10 and provide best software compatibility. With ATI AVIVO Technology, K3780E can process hardware decoding, such as H.264, VC-1, and MPEG-4, and operate multi-functions simultaneously and maintain stable performance. The South Bridge is AMD SB710, supporting 4 sets of SATA II 3Gb/s channel and 1 set of ATA 100 channel.

If you walked into the right RadioShack store in San Jose this weekend, you could get an Acer Aspire “netbook” computer for free. The catch: You would have to sign a two-year contract for mobile Internet service from AT&T, at $60 a month plus an activation fee. That particular deal was set to end last week. But wireless phone companies are betting that plenty of people will be willing to pay $200 to $300, and commit to spending $1,000 or more over the next two years, for a downsized, lightweight netbook that they can use to surf the Web wherever they go. Whether that's a good deal depends on what kind of computer you want, and how you want to use it.

Both Verizon and AT&T have begun selling netbooks the same way they sell mobile phones offering a steeply discounted price for the device when bundled with a one- or two-year wireless agreement. Customers pay a monthly wireless charge based on how many megabytes of data they send or receive on their netbooks, much as they pay for minutes of talking on a phone. It's a strategy that builds on the primary reason why netbook sales have surged since the first models came on the market last year: Consumers see them as a cheap and convenient alternative to full-size laptops, especially when it comes to accessing the Internet or checking e-mail on the go.
