Nokia Intros E72 And 5530 XpressMusic Handsets

Nokia’s been a real roll of late, pumping out more handsets than we can even keep track of. To that end, the company is dishing out two more higher-end units today in the E72 and 5530 XpressMusic. Dell Garners $3 Million From Twitter Sales

MS to Shut Down Worker’s Non-WinMo Data Plans

We’ve heard before that Bill Gates’ children can’t get iPhones or iPods. Now Microsoft, in a move said to be cost-cutting, yet which will appear as somewhat sour grapes, is apparently cutting off the data plans of MS folks who are not using WinMo devices. In the past, Microsoft has paid for the data plans for the personal smartphones of MS employees, but they will no longer be doing so for iPhones, BlackBerrys, Palm Pres and other non-WinMo platform smartphones, even if the phones are used primarily for business,

Samsung Omnia II Announced, Verizon Wireless Bound

Today was a busy one for the good folks at Samsung; they announced a new family of phones, including the upcoming Omnia II, a Windows Mobile touchscreen phone that’ll be sold by Verizon Wireless (at least) later this year.

We have most of the details on the Omnia II: 3.7” AMOLED touchscreen, up to 16GB of onboard flash memory, microSDHC card slot (good for another 32GB once the cards are available), aGPS, 480p (DVD quality) video shooting on a 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS… it’s loaded.

Availability is expected around September, but device delays are legendary.  We’ll keep you posted.

The red and black color scheme from ASUS really lets the board stand out. The CPU is powered by a massive 19-phase power circuit. It is wired to four DDR3 DIMM slots supporting dual-channel DDR3 memory, with its own 3-phase power circuit. A sporty cooler sits atop the board's VRM while a pseudo-heatsink gives it the industrial feel of having a northbridge which it doesn't, while a flat, large heatsink cools the P55 chipset.
