Napster unveiled its latest plan to compete in the subscription music space by offering a $5 per month service that is similar to what Zune users enjoy. Through Napster’s latest offering, you’ll enjoy a combination of on-demand music streaming and five tracks to download and keep each month. At that price, you basically buy five tracks each month (assuming you’re paying $1 per track) and get the subscription service as a bonus. Under the terms of the new offer, users can listen to any track from Napster’s

Gigabyte GeForce GTX275 GV-N275UD-896H Video Card Review @ motherboards.org and other reviews from around the web can be found by visiting our forums!
The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 275 is an interesting beast of a card. It is designed to compete directly with the ATI Radeon HD 4890 and does a great job of doing just that. In the vast majority of cases the Gigabyte card beats the HD 4890 in performance with the exception of a DirectX 10.1 title like Tom Clancy's HAWX. NVIDIA made some good choices with the GTX 275, including having the GTX295 core but with the memory controller of the GTX 260. This hybrid combination offers higher performance across the board versus a GeForce GTX260 216 core card and nearly competes in a lot of cases with the GeForce GTX 285. The Gigabyte card overclocks to 620MHz totally stable, which is just a tad over 10% over the standard clocked reference board. To play games with PhysX effects turned on, NVIDIA cards are the only way to go. Cryostasis, the latest game to use PhysX, has its frame rate drop to single digits on a Radeon HD 4890 while it is playable on a GTX275.
OCZ Technology Neutrino Netbook Review
We know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that this is just another netbook by yet another manufacturer trying to ride the wave of popularity — and at a glance, we’d say you’re right. Upon further investigation, however, you’ll find that OCZ Technology’s Neutrino is actually a horse of a different color, so to speak. Design-wise, it’s a perfectly average netbook, and if you check out the basic specifications, you’ll see more of what you’re used to. But if you read a little further, you’ll notice a few key
Will Windows 7’s Higher Cost Hinder Adoption?
Believe it or not, Windows 7 is about to take the computing world by storm. If all goes to plan, we’ll see Microsoft’s latest (and hopefully greatest) OS on store shelves by the time 2009 draws to a close, but it remains to be seen who all will be jumping to upgrade. According to Darrel Ward, director of product management for Dell’s business client product group, he’s not so sure that folks will be waiting with credit cards out to jump on the next-gen bandwagon. In a recent phone interview, he was quoted as
Take-Two Sues Duke Nukem Forever Developer
Seriously folks, we couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried. In fact, this is the stuff that pure comedic gold is made of. Duke Nukem Forever, which is arguably the most highly hyped game to never emerge in official fashion, was thought to extinguished forever when 3D Realms (its developer) went under earlier this month. Weeks later, the game has resurfaced in conversation yet again, further proving the point that this title simply will not ever die. According to a blurb over at Bloomberg, Take-Two Interactive
TDK Reveals SDG2A Line Of 2.5″ SSDs
Can the world really handle yet another SSD manufacturer? We’ll soon be finding out, as TDK Corporation has just developed a solid state drive line of its own. The SDG2A series — a range of Serial ATA II-compatible SDDs with a maximum memory capacity of 64GB — has just burst onto the scene, proving that the company really is capable of pushing out more than just spindle after spindle of optical media.Initially, the compact will focus on 2.5″ (notebook sized) drives, but it does plan to eventually push out
Sony Intros Three New Alpha DSLR Cameras
We’ve had every reason to believe that these were real, but finally we’re seeing Sony itself pull the trigger on an official confirmation. Starting the week off in style, the company is introducing not one, not two, but three new Alpha models in its burgeoning DSLR range. Aimed primarily at first- and second-time DSLR buyers, the DSLR-A380, DSLR-A330 and DSLR-A230 are being launched alongside four new lenses, one new external flash and a bevy of accessories. As the entry-level DSLR landscape gets ever more crowded,
WM 6.5 is Complete. We Care Why?
Doesn’t anyone use a press release any longer? It was bad enough that press releases were being supplanted by blog posts, but now they are being replaced by tweets. Microsoft engineers announced on Thursday via Twitter that Windows Mobile 6.5 has been completed. Our assumption is that it has been released to manufacturing. It’s done, and we care, why? That’s perhaps a bit harsh, but Windows Mobile 6.5 is a stopgap until Microsoft can release Windows Mobile 7.0. Let’s face it, unless something changes drastically

OCZ Z-Drive Sneak Peek, SSD RAID PCIe Card
It’s not all that often that we post something up in the news just for the drool factor alone. However, we’d go so far as to say that this little slab of circuitry classifies as a proverbial technological “hey-now!” Certainly, SSDs and Solid State Storage solutions in general are all the buzz these days but this is the first product we’ve focused our beady geek eyes on with this particular design implementation. That said, we will offer one very large caveat that what you’re about to see
