HP Takes #1 Spot From Dell In US PC Shipments

It’s not like Hewlett-Packard has never trumped Dell before in PC shipments, but the back-and-forth has continued today with the newest computer shipment reports. The HTC Touch Diamond2 won’t arrive in the U.S. for some time, but the company has posted a 232 page User Manual for the upcoming Windows Mobile Smartphone.

The manual (download PDF) is for the GSM version of the handset and details the unit’s hardware and software and is full of screen shots and how-tos.

Toshiba Unveils Self-Encrypting Drive Technology

Toshiba’s Self-Encrypting Drive Technology will make its debut at the RAS conference in San Francisco. The conference begins April 21st. The new technology supports the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) Storage Architecture Core Specification, as well as the Storage Security Subsystem Class (SSC) Opal Specification.
