Acer and Asustek Computer have both found new confidence after seeing booming sales of their netbooks in the US during the year-end holiday season, and have set high sales targets for netbooks in 2009, according to market sources.

8.9-inch Aspire one netbooks performed strongly in 2008 and the company expects the model to perform even better in 2009, said Scott Lin, president, Acer Taiwan. Jobs Says Hormone Imbalance Caused Weight Loss
In the past, Steve Jobs and Apple have left many things to speculation, especially with regards to Jobs’ health issues. Speculation about his health intensified in 2008 when Jobs appeared gaunt at public appearances. Worries regarding Jobs’ health arose again after Apple’s announcement that the 2009 edition of Macworld would be its last, and that Jobs wouldn’t give the keynote. A 17″ laptop, particularly a MacBook Pro, a higher-powered laptop than the MBA, will suck a lot more power than the MBA. Besides the fact that the battery will eventually degrade over time, it’s always Enter the theory: Silver / Zinc batteries.ZPower
Phishing, in 140 Characters or Less
A phishing scam, in 140 characters or less? That’s what we have here, as a phishing scam apparently hit Twitter on Saturday. According to Twitter, If you receive an email notice saying you’ve received a Direct Message with a link that redirects to what seems like Twitter.com, be careful about entering your Twitter credentials. Instead, look closely at the URL to see if it’s not really Twitter but a sketchy phishing site like http://twitter.access-logins.com. If this has you feeling a bit weirded out, feel free
