Live Mesh Now Open, Still Missing WinMo Goodness
Microsoft’s Live Mesh, a Cloud-based file storage and syncing system, is out of beta and now labeled as a “Technical Preview” service, which basically means they’ve raised the number of users who can sign up for Mesh.
Over the coming weeks, Mesh will continue to be tweaked and improved. One still-missing (but very welcome) feature is Windows Mobile support, which will allow you to sync and access stored files from a Windows Mobile handheld.
A totally Cloud-based, Mesh-like syncing solution would be an excellent addition to Windows Mobile 7, don’t you think?
Sony cutting price of PS3, adding video downloads
In a bid to regain lost ground in the fiercely competitive gaming business, Sony announced Tuesday that it will cut the price of its high-end PlayStation 3 console by $100. It also will introduce downloads of movies and TV shows to the game machine's online store and, with some software partners, roll out a number of exclusive games.

Sony's PlayStation brand in general and the PS3 in particular are “just beginning to hit [their] stride,” said Jack Tretton, CEO of the North American branch of Sony Computer Entertainment, which oversees the PlayStation products.

We can complain all we want about inappropriate content in Grand Theft Auto IV, but we’ll stand behind the right of Rockstar Games to sell it. We might not want our children surfing for porn, but we have no intention to tell other folks that they can’t view it just because we might find the content objectionable. We’re obviously generalizing here; there are plenty of U.S. citizens out there who would love to ban all objectionable content,
