I was just looking around the Intel site and I just saw that they have Intel Solid State Drives now shown! Looks like they have 4GB and 8GB versions right now that have an IDE system interface. The Intel Z-P230 PATA Solid-State Drive is the only one listed, but hey it's a start. The read throughput is 35MB/s while the write throughput peaks at 7MB/s. The Firefox browser from Mozilla is on version three. And version three is currently available as “Prerelease Candidate 2”. That means it’s not ready for public consumption, but many people are using it. It’s unlikely that much will change after Prerelease Candidate 2, so let’s go with it. One of the more curious items spied at this week’s Computex trade show in Taipei, is an Asus laptop prototype with a built-in mini projector.
