Sounds Right to Us."},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 2px 15px 0px 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"Windows Phone Logo\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Windows Phone Logo\" align=\"left\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pocketpccentral.net\/newscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/wm_logo.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/> WMExperts has posted a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wmexperts.com\/barcelona-and-wm7-what-we-expect-and-what-we-are-hearing\" >fascinating article<\/a> concerning Microsoft\u2019s possible plans for Windows Mobile 7.&#160; In it, the author makes several new assertions, including the idea that two different versions of the operating system will be released, and one well before the other.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Based on information provided by \u201cseveral sources,\u201d WMExperts believes Windows Mobile 7 will come in two flavors.&#160; <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The first, a somewhat barebones version, Business Edition (BE), is designed to be run with a large amount of OEM customization and add-on software.&#160; This would make sense given some manufacturers\u2019 history of UI enhancements (like HTC\u2019s TouchFLO, Sense).&#160; Windows Mobile 7 BE, lacking some of the features and eye candy of its sibling, would also be ready to deploy sooner.&#160; This, the article states, is the version that will be made available for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pocketpccentral.net\/htc_leo.htm\">HTC HD2<\/a> later this year.&#160; <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">But it\u2019s the second version of 7, Media Edition (ME), that\u2019s the real story.&#160; <\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span id=\"more-1420\"><\/span><\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">According to the post, this version will be aimed squarely at consumers \u2013 and iPhone and Android handsets.&#160; Features are said to include Zune-like media controls (duh), Silverlight, XBox Live support, built-in social networking functionality, and more.&#160; ME is reportedly still under heavy construction, and will likely not be ready for primetime until late this year or Q1 2011.&#160; However, the author believes ME will be shown off next month at MWC as a \u201ctease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The article also covers some of the Windows phone hardware we can expect to see later this year that\u2019s designed to run WM7, \u201cOrion,\u201d a cloud-supported GPS system, and more.
