{"id":11688,"date":"2010-10-11T12:19:00","date_gmt":"2010-10-11T16:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pocketpccentral.net\/newscenter\/2010\/10\/11\/windows-phone-7-launch-smartphones\/"},"modified":"2010-10-11T12:19:00","modified_gmt":"2010-10-11T16:19:00","slug":"windows-phone-7-launch-smartphones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/computerhunter.us\/?p=11688","title":{"rendered":"Windows Phone 7 Launch Smartphones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">In the coming weeks, five <a href=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/device_menus\/windows_phone.htm\">Windows Phone 7 smartphones<\/a> will be available for purchase, all from T-Mobile and AT&amp;T; CDMA versions of Windows Phone 7 handsets for Verizon and Sprint will launch next year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pocketpccentral.net\/newscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/winphone7_launch.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[1882]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"Windows Phone 7 Launch Handsets\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Windows Phone 7 Launch Handsets\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pocketpccentral.net\/newscenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/winphone7_launch_thumb.jpg\" width=\"619\" height=\"178\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Starting from the left, there\u2019s the <a href=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/winphone7\/samsung_i917.htm\">Samsung Focus<\/a>, a 4-inch AMOLED Windows Phone 7 smartphone headed for AT&amp;T on November 8th.&#160; Next, there\u2019s the <a href=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/winphone7\/dell_lightning.htm\">Dell Venue Pro<\/a> (aka Lightning), which features a vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard and a 4.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen; the Venue Pro will work on T-Mobile, but sold by Dell.&#160; In the middle, the <a href=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/winphone7\/lg_quantum.htm\">LG Quantum<\/a>, the smallest phone of the group.&#160; The Quantum will be sold by AT&amp;T in late November or December and has a 3.5-inch touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.&#160; Second to the right is the <a href=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/winphone7\/htc_t8788.htm\">HTC Surround<\/a> T8788, also from AT&amp;T, which features a slide-out surround sound Yamaha speaker behind its 3.8-inch display.&#160; Last, but not least, the <a href=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/winphone7\/htc_hd7.htm\">T-Mobile HTC HD7<\/a>, an update to the HD2 with a large 4.3-inch Super LCD display, will be available in mid-November.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">All of the Windows Phone 7 launch devices above have 1GHz mobile processors, 5MP autofocus cameras, 802.11b\/g\/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, and GPS.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">There are more phones running Windows Phone 7 on the way; these are merely the first round.&#160; We\u2019ll keep posting as more device information is made available.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><em>Updated October 12, 2010, with some smartphone release dates\/times.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the coming weeks, five Windows Phone 7 smartphones will be available for purchase, all from T-Mobile and AT&#38;T; CDMA versions of Windows Phone 7 handsets for Verizon and Sprint will launch next year.
