According to a <a href=\"http:\/\/news.cnet.com\/8301-13860_3-10048061-56.html?part=rss&amp;subj=news&amp;tag=2547-1_3-0-20\">blog<\/a> at CNet, Microsoft is quietly telling some of its partners not to expect the final version of <a href=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/windows_mobile_7_brief.htm\">Windows Mobile 7<\/a> until the second half of 2009.&#160; <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"235\" alt=\"wm7_ss1\" src=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/rss\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/wm7-ss1.jpg\" width=\"200\" border=\"0\" \/> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">This schedule isn\u2019t exactly a delay, as Microsoft has never provided a firm date for delivery of WinMo7, but many analysts expected the new OS to ship in early 2009.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pocketpccentral.net\/windows_mobile_7_brief.htm\">Windows Mobile 7<\/a> is expected to be a major update to Microsoft\u2019s mobile OS, with gesture recognition, more touch-friendly interaction, and sweeping improvements to the the UI.&#160; These changes are very much needed in light of increasing competition from RIM, Apple and Google\u2019s Android.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If true, this is a disappointing development in the world of Windows Mobile.
