Could the HTC Touch Diamond debut on the Sprint wireless network later this month?  Yes, according to an online article in The China Post online.  The article, dated August 2, 2008, ends by stating that the Touch Diamond, which is already available for purchase in Asia, will be sold “through Sprint Nextel Corp. in August.”  This availability timeframe isn’t stated as a prediction, but as an unremarkable fact, but it’s the first time we’ve seen indication that the Diamond would become available so soon in the U.S.

The Touch Diamond is similar in design to the upcoming Touch Pro, but lacks a sliding keyboard and has 4GB of internal flash memory, the first Windows Mobile handset to include such storage.  A GSM version of the Touch Diamond is available for purchase on eBay.
