Due to the failure of motherboard demand to pick up, as well as the fact notebook shipments did not surge as the company originally expected, Micro-Star International (MSI) only saw non-consolidated revenues of NT$7.93 billion (US$247.06 million) in August, drops of 5.7% on month and 9.43% on year. Total non-consolidated revenues in the first eight months of 2008 reached NT$62.85 billion, an increase of 12.72% compared to the same period in the previous year.

Elitegroup Computer System (ECS) has announced consolidated revenues of NT$6.78 billion for August, an increase of 3.53% on year, but a drop of 13.89% on month. The company's consolidated revenues for the first eight months of 2008 were NT$58.59 billion, a slight decrease of 1.59% on year. ECS shipped 1.79 million motherboards in August.
