Motorola’s super-thin Droid RAZR will begin shipping as early as November 10th and will be available in-store at Verizon Wireless locations on Friday, November 11, 2011.
The Droid RAZR is an LTE Android 2.3 handset with a dual-core TI OMAP 4430 1.2GHz CPU, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage (16GB internal, 16GB microSDHC card included). The direct Verizon price will be $299 with a two-year contract, but third-parties will likely beat this price shortly after release.
Early reviews of the Droid RAZR praise the handset’s 0.28-inch form factor and general performance, but some lament the screen quality, with one reviewer declaring the screen a “major disappointment.”
Still, if you’re looking for the thinnest smartphone available, this is the phone you’ve been waiting for, but remember that the Galaxy Nexus is just around the corner…
