Later this summer, T-Mobile customers will be able to head to their local RadioShack in order to purchase handsets, accessories, and services. The new retail agreement between RadioShack and T-Mobile expands RadioShack’s postpaid wireless offerings and brings some of T-Mobile’s highly anticipated handsets, such as the T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google, to the retailer. For T-Mobile, the agreement nearly doubles the number of retail partners nationwide that offer the company’s postpaid products and services. RadioShack

Motorola’s MOTODEV Program Signals Future Android Smartphones
It’s no surprise to hear that Motorola is also considering selling a portion of its soul to Android. In fact, we kind of already knew it had a thing for Google-sourced mobile operating system. But now the company is getting serious in a time where other handset makers are doing the same, and we’d surmise that this is happening not a moment too soon. With companies such as HTC and Sony Ericsson already delivering and/or planning Android-based handsets, Moto must get itself into that same category if it wants
Amazon Apologizes For Kindle Swindle
Amazon made news last week when it began deleting e-books—specifically 1984 and Animal Farm off the Kindle’s of buyers who had previously purchased the titles. A few days later, the reason behind the deletions became clear. The books had been published erroneously and should never have been made for sale. The incident impacted only a small number of Kindle owners, but raise questions of personal privacy and the meaning of ownership that apply to all Kindle customers and even the e-book industry as a whole. Laptops, PCs At The Center Of Wal-Mart Back to School Blitz
Starting this weekend, Wal-Mart plans to change where you’ll shop for your next computer, while possibly providing a needed salesboost to OEMs whose profits have fallen due to weaker sales. For most companies, such statements would smack of hubris, but Wal-Mart’s size and recession-resistant business model lend credence to the idea that the store could spark an uptick in consumer demand. As the first step in that process, beginning Sunday, Wal-Mart will offer a Compaq Presario notebook for $298.Said noteboook
Microsoft To Give EU Win7 Buyers ‘Choice’ Of Web Browser
Pro-choice advocates and IE haters alike have been pushing to get Microsoft’s own Internet browser exempted from instances of Windows for years now. Many argue that it’s a violation of anti-trust principles, suggesting that there’s really no choice of browser when you buy a copy of Windows. Never mind that Apple does the same thing with its OS X systems by including its own Safari, but we digress. Particularly across the pond, Microsoft has caught an extraordinary amount of flack–so much, in fact, that it seems
More Information on iPAQ K3 ‘Obsidian’
We first told you about the iPAQ K3 Obsidian in May. At the time, Engadget had gotten its hands on some officially-unofficial information regarding AT&T’s 2009 line-up, of which the iPAQ K3 was a part.
Now a Vietnamese tech site, VNExpress.net, has some new information on the iPAQ K3, along with photos showing the smartphone with an AT&T logo. According to the site, the K3 is intended as a replacement for the iPAQ 910 Business Manager, which is sold in the U.S. as an unlocked smartphone.
Assuming the new information is true, the upcoming iPAQ will also sport an AMOLED screen and a slightly curved QWERTY thumb keyboard.

GlobalFoundries Breaks Ground On New York Facility
AMD-derived GlobalFoundries broke ground today on what will become the company’s leading-edge manufacturing facility and (according to it, at least) the largest and most technically-advanced fab in the United States. The $4.2 billion facility should start production within two years, and is expected to begin volume production in 2012. Currently, GlobalFoundries predicts the plant will debut using 300mm wafers and 28nm process technology, only to transition to 22nm as it enters volume production. Those numbers
