Futuermark Unleashes New Shattered Horizon PC Game Screenshots
It's been all over the news so I'm sure you're aware that today is the 40th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. To mark the occasion, Futuremark has released two new screenshots from Shattered Horizon showing the Moon as it appears in our game, broken and scarred after a huge explosion that throws billions of tons of rocky debris into near-Earth space.

“The Apollo missions are inspirational yet these events happened before most gamers were even born,” said Antti Summala, Lead Game Designer at Futuremark Games Studio. “With Shattered Horizon we're imagining what Man might achieve in the next 40 years, events that could happen in our lifetime. A return to the Moon. Colonization and commercialization. And a catastrophic accident that forever changes the night sky and threatens the very future of Mankind.” Shattered Horizon is a multiplayer first-person shooter for PC. In the game world, a catastrophic explosion on the Moon fills near-Earth space with billions of tons of rocky debris. Survivors on the Moon are forced into conflict with those trapped on the battered International Space Station. Teams of players fight in zero gravity to control the limited supplies that mean the difference between survival and death.

Is That 54 DVDs In Your Pocket Or A Flash Drive?
C’mon – you know you’ve always wanted to be able to carry 54 DVDs in your pocket. Kingston Technology Europe has come out with a 256GB USB flash drive, which can hold a LOT of stuff. How much? Try 51,000 images. Or how about 365 CDs (one for every day of the year)? A database of documents that, if printed out and piled up, would reach 1 kilometer high? Or, of course, the aforementioned 54 DVDs, though one might suppose that would depend on what kind of movies were on those DVDs: three-hour epics such as Ben-Hur

Hard Drive Kept Secure With Keycard, No Password
It seems as if you have to come up with a new password with upper and lower case, symbols and numbers every five seconds. So the idea of having a secure external hard drive that needs no password seems rather intriguing.Freecom came out with a relatively small external drive that uses a keycard instead of a password to keep your data secure. Sure, you have to make sure you don’t lose the card, but at least you can’t get locked out if you keep typing in your Gmail password by accident.Said Axel Lucassen, Freecom’s
Toshiba To Swallow Pride, Intro Blu-ray Player
At long last, the inevitable has occurred. Nearly 1.5 years after the curtain fell and HD DVD was deemed dead, Toshiba–HD DVD’s biggest fan, backer and producer of players–has agreed to join those on the other side. After years of fighting, the Blu-ray format won out over the other HD disc format, HD DVD, though Toshiba never once showed any indication that it would side with those that helped obliterate the format it poured millions into.Until now. According to a report originating in Japan over the weekend,
