HP Won’t Release iPAQ 610 in U.S.

As of February 13, 2008, the iPAQ 610 Series Business Navigator is no longer slated for a U.S. release. Citing “legal issues between suppliers of mobile phone technologies,” HP announced that it had canceled the iPAQ 610 in the States, but did not indicate its plans, if any, to make this handheld available in Europe or Asia.

Sony Ericsson to Release WM6Pro XPERIA X1 Smartphone

Sony Ericsson will enter the Windows Mobile Smartphone market later this year with the XPERIA X1, a touchscreen handset with several new and innovative features. The X1’s 3″ touchscreen display slides out to expose a full QWERTY keyboard, but rather than sliding over or up, the screen slides on an angled curve, a so-called “Arc-slider” design.
